Rand McNally's Transportation Data Management subsidiary has licensed TrueTrack with IntelliRoute to Transplace for use with its Dense Network Efficiency (DNE) platform of services. TrueTrack with IntelliRoute will support Transplace's system by lending mileage and routes for completion of rate negotiation, route optimization, freight audit and payment, and other elements of its transportation logistics services. True Track's GPS capabilities will allow for track and trace functions.
The DNE platform assembles freight and asset networks and applies optimization algorithms to search for the best matching of freight with carrier assets to increase load ratio and minimize empty miles and detention hours. Transplace links shippers and carriers efficiently through an Internet portal, enabling collaboration and supply chain visibility.
