Phoenix AZ-based Shamrock Foods Co has received a United States Department of Defense (DOD) contract to distribute food to military bases and a federal corrections center. The firm was chosen over five other bidders for the contract.

As part of this $31.5 million deal, Shamrock will supply “full-line food distribution” to US Army, Navy, and Air Force bases in the Denver CO and Cheyenne WY areas.

To supply the Rocky Mountain region, Shamrock operates a 15-acre distribution center in Commerce City CO with a 270,000-square-foot warehouse. This facility has an inventory of 16,000-plus items, including fresh produce, seafood, and dairy products.
