Campanelli to build facility for Preferred Freezer Services

Campanelli Companies has been selected to design and build a 141,521-square-foot office and cold storage facility for Preferred Freezer Services, a provider of refrigerated warehouses.

Campanelli Companies has been selected to design and build a 141,521-square-foot office and cold storage facility for Preferred Freezer Services, a provider of refrigerated warehouses. The facility will be built off of Bayway Avenue South in Linden NJ.

The Linden facility represents the 12th project Campanelli will have completed for Preferred Freezer Services. In addition to Preferred Freezer, Campanelli was recently chosen to provide construction and management services for another office and cold storage facility to be the US headquarters for Bindi Desserts, a dessert maker based in Italy. The state-of-the-art facility will be in Kearny NJ.

Campanelli is providing a package for the Linden facility consisting of 132,665 square feet of freezer and dock space as well as 8,856 square feet for office areas. Construction began December 1 and is scheduled for completion in autumn 2011.

Facilities Campanelli has completed for Preferred Freezer include the company’s headquarters in Elizabeth NJ and cold storage distribution centers in Atlanta GA; Philadelphia PA; Chesapeake VA; Newark NJ; Jacksonville FL; La Porte TX; and Raynham, Sharon, Everett, and Westfield MA.

Founded in 1989, Preferred Freezer is one of the largest public refrigerated warehouse companies in North America, with 23 facilities and more than 600 employees. With more than 160 million cubic feet from coast to coast, Preferred Freezer is based in Newark with distribution locations in nine states.
