Dole deploys CHEP pallets for transporting bananas

Dole Fresh Fruit Company, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company Inc, announced the signing of a new contract for pallet pooling services with CHEP, provider of pallet and container pooling systems.

Dole Fresh Fruit Company, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company Inc, announced the signing of a new contract for pallet pooling services with CHEP, provider of pallet and container pooling systems.

Dole is now transporting bananas on CHEP pallets from processing facilities in Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras to supermarkets, wholesale clubs, and distributors in the United States and Canada. The company has used CHEP pallets for its US-based fresh vegetable business since 2006.

All of the CHEP pallets Dole uses to transport its bananas from Central America to the United States and Canada are in full compliance with ISPM-15 phytosanitary regulations.
