Wared Logistics, provider of logistics and transportation services for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, has partnered with Preferred Freezer Services (PFS), a provider of cold storage warehouses, to construct and manage refrigerated warehouses throughout MENA.

Initial warehouse facilities are targeted for Cairo, Egypt; Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE); with longer-term plans for nine other regional centers. In addition, Wared will provide refrigerated trucking services in each region for delivery to ultimate customers, and global trade management, importation, and drayage services to distribution centers from the ports of entry.

Planning has already begun for construction of the first two facilities. The first will be within the Wared Logistics Hub in the Sixth of October City (Cairo) industrial complex. This will serve the largest population center within the MENA region. The second facility will be in Wared’s Logistics Hub in Jeddah, adjacent to the port. The Jeddah facility will serve initially as the gateway to the entire kingdom and will eventually serve as the hub to other PFS/Wared facilities throughout Saudi Arabia.

Newark NJ-based PFS has 24 facilities and operates in New York/New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas, and Georgia; and internationally in China and Vietnam. For more information on PFS, visit www.preferredfreezer.com.

Wared operates transportation hubs, warehouses, and distribution centers in areas including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and the UAE. Visit www.waredlogistics.com/ for additional information.
