Peli BioThermal recently named Douglas Ross its president. Ross brings more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with deep expertise in operational excellence, logistics, and business development, the company said.
“The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented growth to the cold chain industry, and we expect this trajectory to continue as the way we deliver healthcare and pharmaceuticals evolves,” said Phil Gyori, CEO of Pelican Products. “Doug’s background in operations will drive efficiencies and innovation that ensure we’re poised to meet the future needs of our customers.”
Throughout his career, Ross has driven continuous improvements and greater efficiencies across industries. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of pharma 3PL logistics for Eversana, a life science commercial services company. His background in pharmaceuticals also includes six years at Qualitest Pharmaceuticals, where he orchestrated the increased daily flow of outgoing orders by 160% by installing fast-paced material handling equipment.
Ross holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in business administration and management from Brenau University. He joined Peli BioThermal, which has U.S. headquarters in Maple Grove, Minnesota, on Nov. 2.
