CJ Logistics America recently opened a new cold-storage warehouse in Gainesville, Georgia.
First announced earlier this year, this 270,000-sq.-ft. facility is located in the poultry production capital of the world and offers direct access to major highways and railways, including Interstates 985 and 85, and the Norfolk Southern railway system.
The building features advanced cold chain technologies, including Alta Expert refrigeration systems and QFM blast freezing, which will bring products to desired temperatures in 24 hours. The facility also boasts three separate storage rooms for different product needs, including finished goods, bakery items, and proteins; 30,000 racked pallet positions; and an on-site USDA office and inspection room.
“Today’s top global businesses demand exceptional service, and that is precisely why we built this facility—to offer them the best,” CJ Logistics CEO Kevin Coleman said in a news release. “This distribution center, with its state-of-the-art technology and premier location, further establishes CJ Logistics as a top provider of cold chain solutions for leading brands.”
