International Telematics Corporation (ITC) and Advantage PressurePro have announced a partnership to provide the integrated TPMS/Telematics tire pressure monitoring system to fleet markets worldwide.
The integrated systems will allow users to receive tire pressure alerts both in-cab and through ITC’s ibright user interface, in the office or on smart phones, in addition to ibright’s full range of telematics capabilities. Tire pressure and temperature alert levels can also be configured for specific vehicles, groups of vehicles, or tire sets through the ibright system.
ITC, headquartered in New York City, produces the ibright vehicle and trailer telematics system for both private and public fleets. This system is designed to meet the needs of a range of market segments, including refrigerated transport.
The architecture of the ibright system brings substantial computing power to a vehicle. This vehicle-based processing power, together with connectivity and communication options (ie, GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and ethernet), has advantages in terms of accuracy, flexibility, and breadth of functionality. Driver performance and g-forces can be monitored and alerted from the tractor, truck, or trailer, and users can also select from options including hours of service, driver vehicle inspection reports, wireless temperature, humidity, door and other sensors, pulp temperature sensors, two-way control and remote start/stop reefer capability, tire pressure sensors, power take off (PTO) monitoring, engine status, and diagnostics. The ibright system is also notable for the ease with which it can be efficiently integrated with dispatch, scheduling, maintenance, and other back end systems.
