Fiscal 2008 sales for the food distribution company were a record $4.704 billion compared with $4.533 billion the year before, an increase of 3.8%. Sales for the 13-week fourth quarter 2008 were $1.203 billion versus $1.069 billion in the 12-week prior-year quarter, a gain of 12.5%.
Net earnings for fiscal 2008 were $36.2 million, in contrast to net earnings of $38.8 million in fiscal 2007.
Net earnings for the fourth quarter 2008 were $6.2 million, compared with net earnings of $8.5 million in the prior-year quarter.
