KLLM Transport Services LLC has been selected as the dedicated provider for Pilgrim’s Pride Corp at its Western Region facilities.
M W Schroter, vice-president of corporate sales and business development at the Jackson MS-based carrier, said, “KLLM is committed to growing our dedicated business unit and expanding the company’s leadership role in the industry. KLLM Dedicated has enjoyed a successful fiscal year with an estimated 15% growth in revenue. It provides dedicated contract carriage services for several customers including Fresh Express, Chiquita, and Arkema.
Scheduled to start up in November 2009, this fleet will serve multiple production facilities as well as company-owned and third party distribution locations throughout Texas and surrounding states. Approximately 10 of the firm’s employees will be on-site and nearly 50 of its drivers.
