A new 91,000-square-foot refrigerated and dry distribution center will be built to serve clients in the Southeast, especially MBM’s key customer, Chick-Fil-A. Smithson Inc will construct the DC on a 16-acre site in East Macon’s Ocmulgee East Industrial Park.

The $8 million project is set for completion in late 2007, and the expansion will create another 100 jobs at the location.
