Wells’ Dairy Inc has selected Prescient Applied Intelligence Inc to power its vendor managed inventory (VMI). In this program, the supplier is responsible for proactively managing the replenishment of its retail partners’ inventory levels.

Le Mars IA-based Wells’ Dairy is a family-owned and managed dairy processor that manufactures Blue Bunny ice cream, frozen dairy desserts, and novelties.

Wells’ Dairy is not new to Prescient systems. In 2002, the company implemented Prescient’s enterprise supply chain planning suite to measure demand, generate suggested orders, and drive the volume and sequence of its manufacturing lines.

However, the company needed to expand its capabilities to conduct VMI with large customers that incorporate warehousing and distribution services.
