Roehl Transport Inc recently celebrated the accomplishments of the company and employees at an annual awards banquet. More than 220 employees and family members attended this year’s event.
Everett Roehl, chairman and chief executive officer—along with Rick Roehl, president and chief operating officer; and Greg Koepel, vice-president of workforce development and administration—presented awards to Roehl employees. Employees were recognized for significant service milestones—some as long as 30 years with Roehl. In addition, 2009 Driver of the Year, Driver Performance, and Driver Training Contribution awards were handed out.
The evening also celebrated Roehl winning the 2009 Grand Prize in the National Fleet Safety Awards presented by the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA). The award highlights Roehl’s adherence to stringent safety programs—both on and off the road—and its commitment to improving overall highway safety. This is the second consecutive year Roehl has won this award.
The past year brought other accolades. The Environmental Protection Agency honored Roehl with the 2009 SmartWay Excellence Award, recognizing the company’s efforts to minimize fuel consumption and limit exhaust emissions.
Founded by Everett Roehl in 1962 and headquartered in Marshfield WI, Roehl provides diversified transportation and logistics services throughout the United States and Canada.
