RapidWarranty.com is said to be the heavy duty trucking industry's first web-enabled warranty claims transaction processing service. Along with automating warranty claims filing, the service offers web-enabled generation of industry standard repair orders and creation of driver equipment condition and vehicle condition reports.

“There is no need for multiple terminals and skilled claims specialists with RapidWarranty.com,” says Bharat Thacker, company president. “Built-in intelligence handles claim routing and necessary formatting to provide a fast, safe, and extremely easy-to-use claim filing system, plus a permanent record of what was reported and when it was repaired.”

He says that with its standards-based automation of vehicle reporting, maintenance, and warranty claims, even a mid-size operation can realize considerable savings.

“Fleets and repair facilities get a significant reduction in the time and cost associated with generating vehicle condition reports, repair orders, and warranty claims, and OEM (original equipment manufacturers) and suppliers get a streamlined process that lets users file warranty claims with error-free, validated data without disturbing existing processes.”

RapidWarranty.com's web-based warranty transaction processing service uses universal codes and data fields developed for TMC's Recommended Practice 807, Universal Equipment Claim Process, and its VMRS (Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards) codes to automate the warranty claim submission process. Its web-enabled software has built-in intelligence that uses the standardized information from the forms to route and, if necessary, format claims information to both OEMs and suppliers, as well as process vehicle condition data and generate work orders.

“As long as the codes and data fields comply with the VMRS codes, the software handles the rest of the

job of formatting and routing the claim,” says Thacker. “The only specialized knowledge the person submitting the claim needs is the ability to log on to the web and accurately enter the information.”

There is no major initial software investment for RapidWarranty.com. The cost is per warranty claim.
