OSI Group partners with Arrowsight

Processed meat supplier OSI Group LLC will implement Arrowsight Inc’s third-party 24/7/365 Remote Video Auditing (RVA) food defense services in its five US processing plants.

The RVA program will enhance the company’s efforts in food defense to guard against agroterrorism. It helps companies ensure that only authorized workers enter high-risk raw material storage areas and that they follow strict safety protocols when handling food products.

The program is being implemented as part of a nationwide rollout of RVA services covering food safety, employee welfare, and operational efficiencies. In addition to becoming the first company to rollout the RVA food defense program nationwide, OSI is also the first food manufacturing company to implement the full suite of Arrowsight RVA services in all its US facilities. All five of OSI’s US food processing plants will be implementing the RVA food defense program and related services by the end of 2011.
