Fresh produce grower and shipper D’Arrigo Brothers Company of California has partnered with 2Xtreme Racing, placing its pink ribbon logo prominently on the side of The Bounty Hunter Monster Truck driven by owner Jimmy Creten.
This new Racin’ for a Cure partnership to raise awareness of breast cancer combines the sport of monster truck racing with the healthy lifestyle supported by D’Arrigo Bros’ Andy Boy fresh vegetables. As a former body builder, Creten believes in a healthy diet of fresh fruits and vegetables as the best way to reduce the risk of all forms of cancer.
D’Arrigo Bros has been Growing for Prevention since 1999 and has donated more than $1 million to breast cancer research. The firm wanted to bring new life to its pink ribbon campaign and expand its demographic reach to raise awareness about breast cancer nationwide.
“By combining the great sport of monster truck racing with the fresh and healthy products of Andy Boy, we are able to support the amazing cause of breast cancer research,” said Margaret D’Arrigo-Martin, executive vice-president of sales and marketing for D’Arrigo Bros.
Racin’ for a Cure encourages healthy lifestyles and provides Andy Boy an opportunity to promote nutritious eating at racing events. Fresh produce, chef demonstrations, and gourmet condiment options will all be part of this promotion.
