The Subway restaurant chain and Shamrock Farms are partnering to provide nutrient-rich milk as part of the Subway Fresh Fit meal selections.
Shamrock Farms will provide milk, the best source of calcium, vitamin D, and potassium, at almost 22,000 Subway restaurants nationwide within the Fresh Fit and Fresh Fit for Kids meals.
The Fresh Fit meal allows customers to select a six-inch low-fat submarine sandwich and to substitute Shamrock Farms low-fat milk for soft drinks. The Fresh Fit for Kids meal allows customers to select the low-fat mini submarine sandwich of their choice, Shamrock Farms low-fat milk, or juice and apples. All of Shamrock Farms’ milk is free of the growth hormone rBST.
Subway restaurants and Shamrock Farms began their partnership in 2007 and have since sold more than 100 million meals with Shamrock Farms milk, and healthy sides like apple slices.
Shamrock Farms produces and distributes traditional and organic farm-fresh milk nationwide. In its home state of Arizona, it also distributes whipping cream, sour cream, cottage cheese, ice cream, and frozen novelties. The firm is a division of Shamrock Foods Company, a family-owned-and-operated business founded in 1922 in Tucson AZ. For more information, visit www.shamrockfarms.net.
