Utility presents 10,000th trailer to Marten Transport

Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company and Badger Utility Inc have presented longtime customer Marten Transport Ltd their 10,000th trailer: a special commemorative Utility 3000R refrigerated trailer.
Founded in Mondovi WI by Roger Marten, Marten Transport has been servicing North America since 1946.
“The very first trailers Roger Marten purchased from Badger Utility’s sales representative Greg Steinhorst was in 1984 for 35 units,” said Todd Scheffler for Badger Utility. “Since then, we’ve worked closely with Roger’s son Randy to develop trailer specifications to fit Marten Transport’s various applications. They have been a great customer to us so we wanted their 10,000th trailer to be a tribute to Roger’s entrepreneurial spirit and Randy’s vision to transform the company with the outstanding team he has built around him.”
Utility’s Hal Bennett, Steve Bennett, and Greg Brown presented the special-edition trailer to Randy Marten, along with Badger Utility’s Richard Bloomquist, Todd Scheffler, and Dave Batterman.
“I was completely surprised,” said Randy Marten, chief executive officer of Marten Transport. “It was a great honor to see a Utility trailer with a graphic decal of our history on it. At the end of the day it’s not only about business, but it’s about friendship, too. Badger Utility, the Bennett family, and everyone that works for the two companies have been tremendous to us, and we can’t thank them enough for supporting our growing business.”
