Gladstein, Neandross & Associates (GNA), a clean transportation and energy consulting firm, has committed to a partnership engagement with WTS International, the association for the global advancement of women in transportation. The new partnership represents a financial commitment in support of the association’s programs and operations internationally and is the first such commitment from transportation’s environmental sector. “GNA is excited to officially be a partner of WTS International,” said Erik Neandross, chief executive officer of GNA. “As the nation works to resolve its climate change and air quality issues, it’s vital that our transportation leaders—civic, political, and private sector—present a diverse range of perspectives in tackling these important issues. WTS International’s mission to facilitate the attraction, retention, and advancement of talented women in the transportation sector is well-aligned with our goals at GNA.”

As part of this partnership, GNA and WTS have teamed up to host an annual Women in ACT (Alternative Clean Transportation) Summit to showcase accomplished female leaders who are shaping the future of clean transportation. The summit is set for May 4 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas TX as part of the Alternative Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo. WTS was founded in 1977 when its founders realized professional development and recognition were needed to advance women in the transportation field in both public and private sectors. In the 38 years since then, the association has grown to an international member network of more than 6,000 transportation professionals, including women and men. Marcia Ferranto, WTS president and CEO, said, “WTS is thrilled that GNA has joined the roster of companies that have committed to supporting the mission of WTS International. GNA’s corporate partnership will support our 2015 programming across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The workforce development initiatives supported by partnerships like these have an impact on the advancement of women in transportation and on the world’s infrastructure.” Access www.WTSinternational.org or www.gladstein.org for further information.
