Bethany McCrone
“Choptank Transport’s success says a lot about how they are able to efficiently manage and run a complex business process,” said McCrone. “I can see how working with their organization would give you a lot of hands-on practical experience. The scholarship has aided me in continuing my education beyond the traditional four-year timeframe. With this financial support, I was able to not only finish my business degree, but also take the extra time to explore STEM education.”
McCrone is the fourth recipient of the Choptank Transport Scholarship since the endowment was established in 2012. The goal of the scholarship is to provide aid to business students interested in future employment opportunities including, but not limited to, the field of transportation and logistics. The recipient is chosen by a committee of faculty, deans, and program leaders from the Robert H Smith School of Business.
The award requires students to reapply every year and is available to those pursuing any business major. The application process begins in mid-March and continues through the last week of classes in early May. For more information, click here.
