Prime Distribution Services, an Ascent Global Logistics Company, has completed the implementation of cloud-based HighJump Enterprise Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support the future needs of its clients in an ever-changing retail environment.

As a retail consolidation solution provider, Prime supports companies within various industry verticals including refrigerated and dry food, consumer packaged goods, and household goods. The company specializes in consolidation and shipping of goods to national big-box retailers, managing the complex delivery requirements on behalf of its clients. Prime is currently using the new HighJump technology at all five of its distribution facilities.

William Vechiarella, president of Prime, said, “We have 2.5 million square feet of space that we operate with our own people, and it’s important to us that we invest in the best technology to ensure we help clients exceed their retail customers’ expectations. By increasing our service levels, we allow our clients to focus solely on production without dedicating internal resources to distribution.”

Use of the new HighJump WMS will provide Prime with a state-of-the-art system to capture and monitor real-time inventory data, leading to improved inventory accuracy, inventory control and lot control. Customers can learn more about the HighJump WMS at Prime’s upcoming Supplier Delivery Summit, set for Wednesday, August 30 in Bentonville AR.
