Englander acquires three trucking firms

See how Englander Transportation will expand by acquiring three Tennessee trucking companies.

Englander Transportation Inc (ETI) has acquired three trucking companies: Transportation Technologies Inc, Triple C Transportation Services Inc and C&H Logistics Inc. The companies, which are based in Mountain City TN, have been in operation for more than 10 years.

“The operational framework of these companies closely matches that of our current refrigerated transportation model, and we are excited about both the synergies and opportunities that will arise as a result of this union,” said Carl Bumgarner, owner of Fleetmaster Express and ETI.

Collectively, the three companies add more than 80 drivers, a fleet of 60 tractors, 25 being staffed with teams and 70 reefer trailers to Rustburg VA-based ETI’s current operations. The existing freight brokerage division of Triple C will be transitioned to sister company Fleetmaster Xpress Logistics Inc. The end result of these acquisitions, which took place March 20, 2018, now provides ETI a fleet capacity of nearly 100 tractors and 110 refrigerated trailers.

Former owners and founders Dennis Cook and Kristy Herman will continue to oversee terminal operations. Courtney Greene, who has been with the company for several years, is now office manager and will be in charge of administrative processes working in tandem with the administrative staff in Roanoke.

“We are looking forward to a great start with this team as we take our first footsteps of expansion in this industry,” said Travis Smith, chief operting officer for Fleetmaster Express and ETI. “They are a great group of hard-working people, and we are all very excited to have them as a part of Englander Transportation family.”
