The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) recently named Choptank Transport one of its “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation” for the third consecutive year.
Organizations are assessed based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention, and the “Best and Brightest” designation goes only to those companies who demonstrate the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approaches, Choptank said.
NABR selected 540 companies from more than 5,000 entries. Choptank will be recognized during a regional event March 6 at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee WI.
The 2019 winners boast best practices in industries as diverse as information technology, financial services, manufacturing and marketing services.
“The survey is evaluated solely based on employee feedback, so that adds real value for potential talent,” said Pam Hutchinson, Choptank’s vice president of human resources. “For an organization that will be adding over 150 people in the next two years, this gives real momentum to our talent acquisition strategy.”
An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories. They include Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; and Strategic Company Performance.
