Cooltrax advances TempTracker cold chain management
Cooltrax recently released a new TempTracker temperature management solution for any cold chain operation, including refrigerated trucks, trailers, and other cold-chain assets. The advanced TempTracker kit features faster uploads, broader coverage, and superior reliability and security, the company said.
“The 4G Cooltrax TempTracker totally wireless kit delivers precise control of your cold chain inside an easy install and go package,” Mike Sharpe, Cooltrax president, said in a news release. “This new kit truly revolutionizes cold chain temperature monitoring, delivering real-time temperature visibility and tracking through a broader coverage network and making it even easier to achieve and maintain FSMA [Food Safety Modernization Act] compliance.”
The Bluetooth-enabled sensors, which offer a 10-year battery life, are fully operational upon arrival for installation and offer instant connection through a local, next-gen wireless 4G gateway connection. These wireless sensors monitor return-air temperatures in virtually any single or multiple trailer zones, compartments, or cold chain asset configuration, Cooltrax said. Seamlessly transmitting data every 15 minutes to the application-configured, cloud-based TempTracker web portal, the sensors provide data for automated reporting and prompt failure notifications if temperatures fall out of acceptable ranges.
The web portal also provides a modern user experience to access and understand the comprehensive data, tools, and satellite mapping information. Easily configure motion detection and geofencing to automatically record trip start/stop, arrival times, temperature readings, proof-of-delivery transaction capture, and more.
