Dec. 9, 2024
New report details act’s three-year implementation timeline, explains new refrigeration requirements, and outlines expected cost implications for reefer operations.

Polar King International recently released an industry report that provides essential guidance for businesses preparing for the upcoming American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act regulations that take effect Jan. 1, 2025.

Navigating Change: The AIM Act’s Impact on Cold Storage,” written by Kevin Wilson, Polar King director of engineering and manufacturing, offers insights into how the act will transform refrigeration systems across multiple industries.

The report details the AIM’s three-year implementation timeline, explains new refrigerant requirements, and outlines expected cost implications for businesses.

“This isn’t the first change to refrigerants, and it won’t be the last, but it’s important for businesses and decision makers to know what’s ahead when the AIM Act takes effect,” Wilson said in a news release. “This industry report offers a synopsis of what everyone should expect and details next steps to make sure operations are compliant.”

Decision-makers can use this resource to understand how the act affects their operations and prepare for the transition to next-generation refrigerants and technologies, Polar King said. The report covers critical topics, including compliance timelines, sector-specific requirements, and enhanced safety protocols for new refrigeration systems.
