The 2024 edition of the Truckload Carriers Association’s Refrigerated Meeting draws more than 200 attendees to Stowe for new market insights, industry best practices, and temperature-controlled technologies.

STOWE, Vermont—The Truckload Carriers Association welcomed more than 200 industry professionals to its 2024 Refrigerated Meeting, where attendees networked with peers, honed best practices, and heard about new technologies designed to enhance temperature-controlled operations.

The three-day conference included an economic outlook tailored for refrigerated trucking companies from Thom Albrecht, chief revenue officer at Reliance Partners; operational insights from reefer fleet executives with C.R. England, Grand Island Express, Hill Brothers Transportation, Knight-Swift Transportation, KLLM Transport, Leonard’s Express, Raider Express, and Simon Transport; and a keynote address from Raymont Harris, a former NFL player turned motivational speaker.

“I have enjoyed my time participating in this group and working to lift the conference back up to past levels and beyond,” said outgoing TCA refrigerated division chair Amber Edmondson, president and CEO of Trailiner. “As we consider our evolution going forward, I’m excited to see what new heights we take it to, I appreciate the opportunity to serve this group, and look forward to what’s to come.”

Trevor Kurtz, general manager of Brian Kurtz Trucking, presented the new refrigerated division officers: Incoming chair Ed Nagle, president and CEO of Nagle Companies; secretary and treasurer Ken Johnson, CEO of Leonard’s Express; and regional vice presidents Lucas Subler (Classic Carriers), Pam Wiers (Dutch Maid Logistics), Ashley Kordish (Ralph Moyle), Perry Olson (Fortune Transportation), and Shawn Nelson (R.E. Garrison).

Nagle then presented Edmonson with a plaque commemorating her term.

“Being in a family business myself, I understand the trials and travails of the inner workings, and the struggles and the victories; and she has gone through some of those as well, and handled them with dignity, grace, and tenacity,” Nagle said.

“It’s the same approach she’s taken in her leadership here in the refrigerated division.”
