A new metal-conditioning oil additive, GO-15 from Engineous USA, has shown to increase the fuel economy of trucks approximately 15 percent while boosting horsepower and reducing engine emissions. Developed after eight years of research, GO-15 uses a proprietary formula to repair inner engine surfaces, reducing friction and improving lubricity.
The additive can be used with all petroleum-based and synthetic oils and works equally well with gas or diesel engines in trucks. The product does not contain Teflon, fluorocarbons, lead, silicone, or molybdenum.
“GO-15 is a surface metal conditioner, not a lubricant like other oil additives,” says Jim Novorr, president of Engineous. “Rather than coating metal components with additional lubrication, GO-15 uses the engine's heat and friction to chemically combine with the molecules of the wearing surfaces.”
The result is a new metal boundary surface 300 angstroms deep (3 millionths of an inch) that is free from microscopic pits, irregularities, and friction points. This change causes a reduction in three critical areas: friction, heat, and fuel consumption, according to Novorr.
GO-15 is available in 8-ounce bottles, 1-quart bottles, and 55-gallon drums. Medium- and heavy-duty trucks with an 8-gal. crankcase capacity should add 2 qt. of GO-15 to 30 qt. of motor oil at every oil change; or 3 qt. of GO-15 to a 12-gal. crankcase with 45 qt. of oil.
