Pressure Systems International celebrated its 15th anniversary at a fleet technology event in San Antonio TX recently. Automatic tire inflation as a new technology for commercial vehicles was born in San Antonio in 1993 when Marvin L. Berry, PSI's founder, acquired a patent for an inflation system to solve a tire-wear problem for an aggregate hauling fleet of 250-plus trailers that he owned.

Today, PSI has 29 patents issued; and the Meritor Tire Inflation System (MTIS) by PSI has a presence in 39 nations. In the United States, 120 of the top 250 for-hire and 48 of the top 100 private fleets have MTIS installed on their trailers.
