Aug. 29, 2019
QCSC plans to exhibit its latest intermodal reefer container at the 2019 IANA Intermodal Expo.

Qingdao CIMC Special Reefer Co (QCSC), a subsidiary of the China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Group specializing in manufacturing refrigerated and insulated containers, plans to exhibit its latest 53-foot intermodal reefer container at the 2019 Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Intermodal Expo Sept 15-18 in Long Beach CA.

QCSC products include heated insulated and military containers ranging from 6 feet to 53 feet.

Established in 1999, the company is growing steadily, capturing more than 90% of the North American market for 53-foot intermodal reefer containers, QCSC said. As CIMC Group’s exclusive 53-foot reefer container factory, QCSC has been dealing directly with many US and Canadian trucking and rail companies, including JB Hunt, CR England, Tiger Cool Express, KLLM Transport, Infinity Transport, Hub Group, Prime Inc and Alliance Shippers.

The company said more than 20,000 53-foot units have been built and put into operation, and “thousands” of units have been in service for more than 10 years.

The reefer container QCSC will show at IANA features:

  • Ultra-light tare weight
  • Capability for loading two more pallets (30 pallets total)
  • Integrated scuff-lining design
  • Lower heat transfer
  • Tailored bulkhead design
  • Eco-friendly Cyclopentane foaming
