Rush Truck Centers of Canada recently acquired Archer Truck Services in St Catharines and Welland, Ontario.

Rush Truck Centers of Canada recently completed the acquisition of assets of Archer Truck Services Limited in St Catharines and Welland, Ontario.

“This acquisition aligns with our strategy to grow and expand our geographic footprint throughout Ontario,” said Kevin G Tallman, chief executive officer of Rush Truck Centers of Canada. “With the addition of two dealerships in Southern Ontario we now offer unparalleled customer support from a total of 16 locations and six associate stores.”

Archer Truck Services will now operate as Rush Truck Centers of Canada-St Catharines and Rush Truck Centres of Canada-Welland.

“It is an exciting time for us to become a part of Rush Truck Centers of Canada to continue the succession of our business,” said RK (Rob) Butter, general manager of Archer Truck Services. “They share the same values and beliefs as we do when it comes to serving our customers and employees and we look forward to the many added products and services we can now bring to our customer base in Welland and St Catharines.”

Rush Truck said Butter will continue as the general manager for both locations. Long-time industry veteran and owner GR (Bob) Butter is expected to retire.

“Archer Truck Services is a respected International Truck dealership group and we look forward to continuing to provide the standard of service excellence they have provided their customers for over 65 years,” Tallman said.

“We are also happy to welcome the employees of Archer’s to the Rush Truck Centers of Canada family.”
