Great Dane offers low-cost trailer tracking for pre-owned equipment
Great Dane has launched FleetPulseGO, a GPS-only solution for pre-owned trailers that uses the powerful FleetPulse trailer telematics platform and complements their FleetPulsePRO integrated smart trailer.
“FleetPulse continues to bring order to the complexity that fleets are experiencing in the trailer telematics space. FleetPulseGO is a low-cost option for fleets to capture the benefits of the FleetPulse platform on their pre-owned equipment,” said Mike Molitor, Great Dane’s head of business development. “We recognize the challenges investing in new trailer technology poses for fleets, and that new assets often are acquired in phases. This solution provides complete fleet visibility even if only a portion of a fleet currently features FleetPulsePRO trailers.”
The FleetPulseGO 4G LTE device offers fleets the ability to receive tracking and utilization data for their entire trailer fleet in one data stream and access it via a single portal. FleetPulseGO provides live GPS monitoring when in motion, and every 12 hours when stationary. Additionally, it features dwell time and breadcrumb tracking for a historical perspective of a trailer’s location.
GPS tracking supports enhanced visibility, efficiency, and security for all fleet assets. From faster trailer identification in the yard to automated inventory reports and custom geofences, fleets benefit from more uptime and greater trailer optimization, Great Dane notes.
FleetPulseGO functionality increases significantly when installed on Great Dane trailers since the FleetPulse platform is leveraged to deliver OEM-specific information like unique trailer VIN specs as well as parts identification and availability, according to Great Dane. This allows for faster repairs and more easily scheduled routine maintenance to maximize asset utilization.
