Reefer Power Products recently launched a line of high-quality power distribution solutions for refrigerated equipment operators that adheres to strict international safety standards.
The Greenwood, South Carolina-based company already boasts a strong track record with its large rental fleet for refrigerated cargo. Now it’s poised to set “a new benchmark” in reefer power solutions, the company said. Reefer Power Products integrates rigorous safety standards, including IEC ratings and IP67 protection, that deliver “peace of mind” for companies operating in demanding environments around the world.
“The decision to develop our own line of reefer plugs began over two years ago, driven by the need to better support our large fleet of dedicated powerpacks and generators for the refrigerated transport industry,” Reefer Power Products CEO Doug Hulse said in a news release. “In the rental world, uptime and cost are critical, and our requirements eventually surpassed what our previous vendor could provide.
“After exploring various options, we chose to design and manufacture our own plug panels and remote trees. Safety and reliability were our top priorities, and we invested significant effort to ensure these standards were met for both the domestic (U.S.) and international markets we serve. This decision also brought additional benefits: Substantially reduced costs and faster availability of new and replacement parts. Encouraged by the positive feedback from our customers, we expanded these products into the commercial market, serving ports, shipping lines, cold storage facilities, trucking companies, and rail operators.
