U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. has elected Michael Ducker, former President & CEO of FedEx Freight, to its eight-member board of directors. This new addition comes just before National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, where the company is moving all of its events virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are truly honored to welcome Mike to our board,” said U.S. Xpress president and CEO Eric Fuller. “His more than four decades in top leadership roles with the world’s largest logistics company along with his specialized focus and deep involvement in the trucking industry brings a wealth of valuable insight to our board.”
In celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, the company will be doing hourly gift card drawings all week – nearly $14,000 total – including four grand prize cash winners who will receive $1,500 each. There will be video shout-outs to drivers from company leadership on social channels paired with a #USXAppreciatesMe contest with prizes.
On Tuesday Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. EST, U.S. Xpress will hold its Million Miler event for its latest group of Million Milers live on the U.S. Xpress Facebook page, and on Thursday Sept. 17, country music star Travis Dennis will host a live virtual concert dedicated to the company’s drivers. By week’s end, all drivers will receive a U.S. Xpress cooler backpack to their home addresses.
