Cargo theft rose 57% from 2022 to 2023, representing nearly $130 million in stolen goods, according to CargoNet. Keller released “Preventing Theft and Tampering With Security Seals.”
Security seals deter potential thieves by visibly indicating if a trailer or container has been tampered with. They are available in various strengths and with different tamper-evident features.
“By implementing security seals and adhering to stringent security protocols, trucking companies can enhance trust among clients, mitigate risks, and uphold industry standards,” said Josh Lovan, industry business advisor at J. J. Keller & Associates. “Investing in security seals not only protects assets but also fosters a secure and resilient transportation infrastructure essential for commerce.”
