Transportation business automation software provider Transflo acquired Assured Telematics Inc., a fleet-management solutions provider, the companies announced on May 16. The deal allows the combined companies to offer an end-to-end solution suite and a connected technology ecosystem to help fleet customers increase efficiency, improve cash flow, and reduce costs, according to the announcement.
ATI will operate as a division of Transflo, which has been creating freight technology for more than 30 years. Its customer-focused mobile and cloud-based technologies manage over 208 million mobile communications annually and digitize more than 800 million shipping documents annually, representing roughly $115 billion in freight bills.

Transflo customers will have access to ATI's offerings of 70-plus modules; ATI customers will have access to Transflo's broad range of solutions, a company spokesman told FleetOwner.

"By unifying Transflo's robust platform with ATI's innovative solutions, we are creating a powerful ecosystem that drives operational efficiency and cost savings for our customers."
Krug added that combining ATI's expertise in developing differentiated freight-technology solutions would enable Transflo to offer more value to its customers by "making it easier for them to manage their fleets and streamline their operations."
ATI, a connected fleet solutions provider, offers a wide range of capabilities that help fleet managers solve complex problems in the day-to-day management of their fleets, according to Frank Pellitta, president of ATI. The company's focus on innovation allowed it to provide advanced telematics and analytics solutions, including comprehensive data insight modules for customers ranging from large truckload fleets, government fleets, utility, and construction companies.

"The synergies created by our combined strengths will enable us to provide best-in-class solutions that our customers expect from us. Pellitta will keep his title and take on the added role of chief telematics officer of Transflo. He will continue leading the ATI division and telematics for the entire organization.

ATI's customers include thought leaders and leading fleets in Class 8, government, construction, and private fleet space. Transflo said ATI customers can expect a seamless transition without disrupting their experience. In addition, those ATI customers now can access Transflo's Workflow AI technology, digital fuel solutions, and driver super app.

Financials on the deal were not disclosed.
