PHOENIX. Adding dynamic traffic and weather information to GPS asset management, Telogis Fleet 8 is the newest release of a software-as –a-service (SaaS) fleet management system that can be integrated with the company’s Telogis Route and Telogis Mobile applications.
Introduced this week at the ATA annual conference here, the new release of the web-based system features include multiple-stop routing, the ability to group vehicles by clusters on its proprietary maps, and a fuel-card reconciliation module to monitor and manage fuel card use.
It also provides managers with multiple vehicle movement histories, as well as allows them to search historical location data to investigate field incidents, and provides fuel tax reporting based on actual GPS data.
The dynamic traffic and weather “overlays” provide dispatchers and other fleet managers with additional information that can impact routing and field service decisions. Currently the traffic feature is also integrated with the software’s routing functions.
Like previous versions, Fleet 8 is scalable, wireless network agnostic and compatible with a wide variety of onboard devices, according to the company.
