ALK Technologies has released PCMiler Web Services version 22, the latest upgrade to the online version of the company's routing, mileage and mapping software. According to ALK, it is well-suited for companies with multiple locations, multiple versions of PCMiler or mixed computer systems.
“We introduced PCMiler Web Services a year ago in response to customer requests to help with cross-platform problems,” said Michael Bodden, ALK's chief technology officer.
The update includes enhancements such as input structure definitions and application programming interface descriptions, allowing developers to upgrade PCMiler data within third-party applications. The web-based technology allows customers to use multiple versions of PCMiler on the same network or workstation, displaying current data for billing, mapping, directions and toll costs.
“Simply put, PCMiler Web Services 22 inserts the right information in the right application at the right time,” said Roy Schijns, vp-sales.
It is available at four pricing levels — lite, standard, premium and enterprise — and includes over 2.4 million new truck restrictions, U.S. and Canadian weight restrictions, hazmat and dangerous goods restrictions, ALK says.
