Qualcomm Inc. has appointed Rich Sulpizio as president and CEO of Qualcomm Enterprise Services (QES). The company noted that Sulpizio is rejoining Qualcomm with more than 10 years of leadership experience there, including previously serving as Qualcomm’s president & COO.

In his new role, Sulpizio will provide strategic and operational leadership to grow market share globally for QES. He will succeed Bob Walton, whom Qualcomm said has decided to look for other opportunities.

“Rich’s leadership contributed significantly to making Qualcomm what it is today, and we are very fortunate to welcome him back,” said Steve Altman, president of Qualcomm. “His experience will be important to guiding QES into new markets and enhancing its partner and customer relationships. “We are thankful to Bob for his service and contribution to QES. Under his leadership, QES has improved its operational focus and execution, and has delivered on critical new products.”

Sulpizio most recently served as president of MediaFLO USA, Inc. (now FLO TV Inc.), a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm, where he oversaw the development and deployment of MediaFLO technology, and previously as interim president of Qualcomm China. From 1998 to 2001, he led the company as president & COO. During his 10 years with Qualcomm, he also served as president of Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (now QES).
