The latest update to Teletrac’s Fleet Director software includes a new in-cab color tablet and safety analytics with new insights.
“Teletrac has a strong track record of bringing innovative solutions to market that set the standard for efficient fleet operations, safe driving, and full FMCSA and DOT compliance,” said Drew Hamilton, executive vice president, Teletrac. “We are extremely proud to launch Fleet Director 9 and encouraged by positive customer feedback particularly on new features that enhance the driver experience and focus on safer driving.”
Fleet Director 9 offers two-way messaging, fleet tracking, navigation and safety analytics capabilities, allowing managers to improve driver safety and productivity.
The new in-cab color table incorporates on-board navigation with turn-by-turn driving instructions and lane guidance, hours of service with eLogs and 2-way messaging. Available with either a 5- or 7-in. screen, the tablet provides space for drivers to see incoming messages clearly while in navigation mode.
According to Teletrac, the large screen also makes it easier for drivers to complete hours-of-service paperwork, eliminating paper logs. The interactive and intuitive screen flows, combined with navigational features and violation alerts, speed the process and improve accuracy over manual logbooks.
Driver safety dashboards and event replay are also included, helping to monitor safety-related activity. The dashboards can replay dangerous driving behaviors and also can show the best and worst drivers in a fleet. Drivers can be organized into driver subgroups for convenience, and assigned to watchlists, Teletrac said. The driver’s name is dynamically assigned to the vehicle, enabling all status updates and messages to be automatically accompanied by the driver’s name.
Drag-and-drop tools also provide flexible reporting for report generation and analysis based on a list of metrics within the new business intelligence platform. Custom reporting is also available.
