Android app for MobileCast

Dec. 21, 2012

Roadnet Technologies has released an Android application extending its MobileCast routing and tracking system to smartphones.  The company has also announced a number of improvements for the MobileCast system that include an analytic tool for managers and automated data integration.

The new Android mobile app offers smartphone access to many of the same functions available on a handheld computer, including route review, stop information, records of arrival and departure times, and other information needed for a paperless delivery system.

Other software improvements to the MobileCast system add the ability to change routes on the fly based on traffic, weather or customer need, as well as automated integration of data collected by mobile devices.

Roadnet has also introduced a module called MobileCast manager that lets route sales managers monitor time spent at customers, tracks mileage by individual drivers and analyze route efficiency.
