Aljex integrates carrier onboarding from RMIS

June 11, 2014

Aljex Software announced that its cloud-based transportation management software is now integrated with CRS Plus, carrier qualification and onboarding from Registry Monitoring Insurance Services (RMIS).

RMIS provides insurance products and legal document monitoring. Aljex is a provider of cloud-based operational software for brokers, carriers, 3PLs, and other transportation providers.

CRS Plus in Aljex streamlines and automates the process of qualifying and onboarding a carrier prior to shipment, Aljex explained. The carrier simply enters the needed information on a web page customized with a broker’s own carrier qualifications and business rules.

The carrier provides its DOT motor carrier number and accepts the broker’s contract and other legal requirements. The carrier also completes an online W-9 form. RMIS verifies their DOT authority, safety rating, CSA Basic scores, and insurance.

The carrier’s Certificate of Insurance and DOT information is monitored daily and updated if coverage expires. CRS Plus provides detailed certificate of insurance information direct from the insurance provider. It also provides unlimited carrier searches within the RMIS database of over 100,000 carriers and the DOT database of over 500,000 carriers.

All information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“It's about efficiency and the ability to do more with less,” said David Broering, senior vice president, integrated solutions, with NFI Brokerage, a division of NFI Industries, the New Jersey-based logistics giant.

Aljex initially integrated CRS Plus specifically for NFI Brokerage. Now that integration is available for all Aljex users.

“We’re very pleased with this integration in all respects,” said Aljex CEO Tom Heine. “NFI is using it with great success. We’re proud to offer RMIS integration to all our Aljex clients.”
