Navman Wireless tool helps improve management efficiency

April 6, 2015
Navman Wireless has launched Adaptive Intelligence (AI), a cloud-based Business-Intelligence-as-a-Service (BIaaS) tool to help optimize fleet management. AI’s reporting suite has more than 30 reporting options, and multiple dashboard views allow visibility into a variety of metrics, including fuel usage, driver activity and service hours, according to a Navman press release. By integrating with Navman Wireless’ GPS fleet tracking software, OnlineAVL2, as well as third-party business applications, AI captures data and processes complex information, relaying it in accessible formats, including a dedicated reporting suite, Microsoft Excel and other user-friendly reporting options, the release stated. This, according to Navman, helps managers view fleet information specific to their responsibilities and improve efficiency throughout an organization.“Typical business intelligence tools struggle to acquire the right information for companies with fleets to manage; Adaptive Intelligence fills this gap,” said Matt Minor, director of business intelligence and analytics. “Adaptive Intelligence is designed with enterprise fleet management and operations in mind. Every implementation can be tailored to fit a customer’s needs, such as KPIs and report design. Enterprise-level businesses can draw important insights based on fleet performance data and make informed decisions for the future."“Many organizations need better tools to measure fleet costs associated with inefficiencies, such as fuel waste and idling,” Minor continued. “With Adaptive Intelligence and the integration of Navman Wireless GPS-based data, managers can identify which vehicles and assets garner the most expenses and make improvements accordingly.”With advanced geo-spatial options, Adaptive Intelligence enables businesses to display data in a wider context, introducing a new and improved dimension to their fleet management. Companies can see, monitor and measure their key KPIs against organizational goals, increasing communication between managers and their workforce. In addition, Adaptive Intelligence enables managers to create custom reporting rules based on input from their customers.“Companies want to continuously review performance and improve,” Minor said. “Adaptive Intelligence does the heavy lifting and allows managers to quickly identify issues and make sure they're staying on track."“For most enterprise companies, managing a fleet is their third biggest expense, only behind wages and rent,” he continued. “If managers can analyze trends, they can optimize their fleet’s behavior. Adaptive Intelligence allows organizations to respond to collected data, ensuring constant improvement of their operations at a fraction of the cost of other business intelligence tools on the market.”
