Transplace hires Mike Dieter as chief technology officer

May 4, 2015
Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, announced the appointment of Mike Dieter as chief technology officer (CTO). Dieter will oversee the company’s IT infrastructure and development, and will report directly to Transplace CEO Tom Sanderson. “Mike’s reputation for technology innovation and his leadership experience in business and logistics make him an ideal fit for Transplace,” Sanderson said. “As a technology company, it is important to have dynamic leaders who are able to direct and foster our IT planning and performance. Mike brings the extensive experience and vision that Transplace needs as we continue to expand our business and deliver innovative technology solutions and services to our customers.” With more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry, and over 14 years’ experience as the CTO for service oriented companies, Dieter has developed strengths in application development, specifically transportation management systems (TMS), data warehouses, data analytics and corporate infrastructures, according to Transplace. Previously, Dieter served as CTO of Health and Human Services for Public Consulting Group. He has also served in the same role for several logistics-focused businesses, including HomeDirectUSA, Clicklogistics and NationStreet. Dieter replaced Vincent Biddlecombe, who joined Transplace in 2004 and helped guide the company through key IT projects, such as converting Transplace’s entire infrastructure to a virtual infrastructure and implementing a new disaster recovery plan, the company said. “I am honored to join a leading technology company such as Transplace,” Dieter said. “Transplace has a strong reputation as a technology innovator and strategic partner to its customers. I look forward to contributing to its ongoing pursuit of operational excellence and delivering the highest level of service to its customers.”
