Trucker Path aligns with trucking associations

Oct. 1, 2015

Trucker Path, a provider of mobile navigational and load finding apps for truck fleets and truck drivers, announced it has recently aligned itself with several industry organizations to better support the North American commercial truck industry.

According to Trucker Path, the organizations include:

  • The Owner-operator and Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA)
  • The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA)
  • The National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC)
  • The Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA)

“All of these organizations play major roles in promoting, advocating and supporting the interests of trucking,” said Ivan Tsybaev, CEO and founder of Trucker Path. “Because we are equally committed to advancing the interests of trucking and truckers, we decided to lend our support to these groups and will be actively involved in backing their future activities.”

Trucker Path’s first product, introduced in 2013, was a mobile app that puts everything truckers and trucking companies needed to know at their fingertips, such as truck parking, rest areas, open/closed weigh stations, scales, truck washes, nearby hotels, restaurants and more, the company said. The app leverages crowd-sourcing to keep all information up-to-date, and now has more than 400,000 truckers as active users, according to Trucker Path.

“The growth and success of that initial mobile app prompted the company to launch a second app known as Truckloads,” according to the company. “Currently in beta testing, the app connects professional truckers with transportation brokers and helps truckers and fleets locate and find available freight loads, access logistical assistance, and enable brokers to quickly find a professional to fulfill their shipping needs.”
