Ford’s fleet order banks for the model year 2024 F-150 Lightning Pro are open for orders, with the new vehicle offering several features for added range.

Beyond the 2024 MY Lightning Pro’s Pre-Conditioning and Intelligent Range features, the MY24 also includes Ford’s Vapor Injection Heat Pump (VIHP), which turbocharges the refrigerant system to improve the vehicle’s heat transfer and reduces power consumption during pre-cooling and heating. With the vapor injection system, Ford stated that the MY24 Lightning Pro’s range reaches up to 240 miles on a standard battery.

An additional feature is the 2024 F-150 Lightning’s onboard charging configuration. When outfitted with a single onboard charger, the Lightning comes standard with an 11.5kW onboard charger, and fleets can choose to increase their charger capacity to 19.2 kW.

Finally, Ford is introducing the F-150 Lightning Flash. Available in January 2024, the F-150 Lightning Flash offers an extended-range battery with an estimated range of 320 miles. The vehicle also includes Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, which includes Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning, and a standard 15.5” touchscreen. The Lightning Flash can optionally include the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Trailer Brake Controller, Smart Hitch, On-Board Scales, Smart Trailer Tow Connection, and Trailer Reverse Guidance.
