Mullen achieves manufacturing milestone with 500th commercial vehicle produced

The company currently has 18 active commercial vehicle pilots with fleets, municipalities, universities, and campuses underway.

Mullen Automotive, an emerging electric vehicle manufacturer, celebrated a manufacturing milestone with the 500th commercial vehicle recently produced at its plant in Tunica, Mississippi.

Other recent highlights include:

  • The company currently has 18 active commercial vehicle pilots with fleets, municipalities, universities, and campuses underway.
  • Expansion of its U.S. retail network with dealers located on the West Coast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions is expected to commence in June of this year.
  • Expansion of commercial vehicle distribution in Europe with plans to sell 800 units is expected to begin this year.

“We have increased requests for our vehicles internationally, and as a result, we plan to launch an expansion into Europe next month,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive. “In addition to international growth, we plan to expand U.S. distribution, adding new dealer points to support commercial EV market penetration.”

Earlier this year, Mullen Automotive received California Air Resources Board certification for its all-electric Class 3 low cab forward chassis truck, which is awarded to manufacturers that meet specific emissions standards in compliance with California's more stringent transport regulations.

Mullen Automotive is a Southern California-based automotive company that manufactures commercial electric vehicles at U.S.-based facilities located in Tunica, Mississippi, and Mishawaka, Indiana. In August 2023, Mullen began commercial vehicle production in Tunica.
