Clean Energy fuels multiple U.S. fleets with RNG and bulk LNG for commercial operations

Clean Energy Fuels recently signed multiple agreements with fleets and companies across the U.S. to expand the use of renewable natural gas (RNG) and bulk liquefied natural gas (LNG). These deals include RNG supply, operations, maintenance, and fueling infrastructure construction to support decarbonization efforts.

“As more fleets look to decarbonize their operations, RNG continues to stand out as a proven, economical, and scalable solution that is ready now,” Chad Lindholm, SVP at Clean Energy, said. “These new agreements demonstrate the versatility of RNG across industries and the growing demand for a clean fuel alternative that delivers on sustainability without compromising performance at a significant discount to diesel.”

Agreements cover a wide range of customers, including United Dairymen of Arizona, Paper Transport, and the Atlantic City Jitney Association, fueling thousands of RNG trucks and shuttle buses. Learn more…

Bendix expands Indiana solar capacity to power nearly half of distribution center operations

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems recently expanded its renewable energy operations in Huntington, Indiana, with a new 2,346-panel solar array at its distribution center, now providing nearly half of the facility’s power needs.

“This project represents another important investment in the cleaner, more efficient future we’re building across Bendix,” Luis Quiñones, Bendix environmental and sustainability engineer, said. “It reflects our continued commitment to renewable energy, to our community, and to doing what’s right for the environment.”

The new array was designed with pollinator-friendly vegetation and sustainable landscaping to enhance biodiversity while supplying surplus energy to the local grid. Together, the Huntington systems will provide decades of low-cost, low-carbon power, supporting Bendix’s target to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions by 75% from 2018 levels by 2030.

Workhorse adds Utilimaster body to W56 electric step van for fleet standardization

Workhorse Group recently added the Utilimaster Aeromaster body to its all-electric W56 Class 5/6 step van, expanding options for fleets seeking electric vehicles with traditional form factors. The integration and validation of the aluminum Aeromaster body provide fleets with a familiar, durable design backed by Utilimaster’s national parts, service, and upfit network.

“We’re proud to work with Workhorse to bring the Aeromaster body to the W56 electric chassis,” Amanda Pickett, director of marketing, North America at Aebi Schmidt, said. “The W56 is a high-quality, purpose-built EV platform, and adding our well-known, industry-standard body allows fleets to combine the trusted durability and versatility of Utilimaster with the benefits of zero tailpipe emissions.”

The Aeromaster body offers modular interiors for parcel delivery, service, or specialty use  while maintaining operational consistency for large fleets. Built in Union City, Indiana, the W56 delivers up to 150 miles per charge, zero tailpipe emissions, and 1,200 cu. ft. of cargo space. Learn more…
