Bridgestone unveils new on- and off-highway tire

The M863 all-position radial tire is designed for a range of applications and has a 4-belt construction to maximize retreadability.

Bridgestone has unveiled its M863 all-position radial tire designed for on- and off-highway fleets. It has been designed for a variety of equipment, such as highway trucks, concrete mixers, dump trucks, construction fleets, and logging trucks, according to a press release.

“When designing the Bridgestone M863, our goal was to produce an all-position tire without trading off its durability, retreadability, or performance on- and off-highway,” said Steve Hoeft, president of the commercial truck group at Bridgestone Americas. “We believe the versatility of the M863 will maximum performance and efficiency for fleets.”

The tire features a 4-belt construction designed for maximum retreadability and features block sipes, stabilizing tie bars, wide flow-through grooves, and stone rejector platforms, according to a press release.

The Bridgestone M863 is currently available in four sizes: 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 315/80R22.5, and 12R22.5. According to Bridgestone, it expects more sizes to become later this year.
