OTC has released three new Stinger bearing race and seal driver kits

OTC has released three new Stinger bearing race and seal driver kits that it said will simplify the installation of tapered bearing races and seals without damaging the component or housing.

All of the kits are designed to fit precise manufacturing diameters and consist of various size discs and drive handles.

The OTC 4408 Stinger Kit includes an aluminum drive handle and six heavy-duty, composite bearing and seal drivers to fit wheel bearings ranging from 1.555 in. to 3.189 in. The 4408 kit weighs just 2 lbs, 4 oz.

The 4507 Stinger Bearing Race & Seal Driver set includes a driver handle plus nine sizes ranging from 1.555 in. to 3.189 in. The kit offers a convenient way for technicians to contact the upper, inner edge of the bearing to evenly distribute force, the company said.

Designed for installing new bearings in the rear drive axle, the OTC 4409 Stinger Truck Pinion Bearing Race Driver set is aimed at shops that perform powertrain service. Consisting of eight popular bearing and seal drivers ranging from 2.687 in. to 4.5 in., the kit covers most applications found in trucks, vans and SUVs. The set, which can also be used on the front drive axle of 4WD vehicles, includes an extension handle to reach deep into the differential case and a knurled handle for extra grip. It also includes a pneumatic drive adaptor for use with an air hammer.
