The Heil Environmental Truck Group has updated its Yardbird dump body, which is suited for use in a variety of light-duty applications, such as landscaping, masonry, utilities and construction.
“Dump body customers often think they have to sacrifice quality or durability when looking at a light-duty body,” says Craig Thomas, sales manager for Heil Truck Equipment Group. “But with the Heil Yardbird, they get a small body that meets the same high standards as our heavy-duty models.”
According to Heil, the new Yardbird features the manufacturer's DuraClass design, which boasts a continuous-formed body sidewall and fully enclosed top rail for improved moisture and corrosion resistance.
The double-wall body side, full-depth rear corner posts and enclosed front corner posts of the dump body combine with Heil's interlaced subframe to provide the Yardbird with exceptional strength and rigidity, the manufacturer stated.
The Yardbird now comes standard with Heil's 1520 hoist. This hoist is powered by a 5-in. cylinder to maximize lift and payload delivery, according to Heil.
The body also features a heavy-duty platform hinge, quick-release upper tailgate pins and a choice of electric or PTO drive.
